J.J. Gradoni
Gradoni has instructed at the University of Houston Criminal Justice Center. He has authored intelligence documentaries on fraud, and has been interviewed by U.S. Senate Subcommittees concerning the effects of these crimes in the Houston area.
In 1983, Gradoni was honored as Officer of the Year by the 100 Club of Houston. Gradoni holds an Advanced Certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education and has received specialized training at the International Intelligence Network.
Since the Firm’s inception in 1988, Gradoni has been involved as a Lead Investigator and/or Case Manager in over 200 Capital Murder cases at the Federal level and seven different Jurisdictions in Texas.
Gradoni & Associates was involved in one of the two Capital Murder case acquittals in the history of Harris County.
Gradoni has also managed corporate loss investigations for dozens of clients which identified the wrong-doers, recovered property and secured con-fessions resulting in termination and successful criminal prosecution.
Benito Segura
Beinto joined our staff in 2009. Benito is a very confident, bilingual Investigator who spent 16 years working for United Parcel in Security and Loss Prevention.
In addition to managing a number of Investigators, Benito became very adept at interviewing employees regarding theft of assets, which resulted in a number of written and oral admissions by the employees.
Benito brings a host of skills to our team. Benito has the experience and ability to inspect a physical plant and make recommendations regarding security measures.
Benito also possesses a great deal of knowledge regarding Inventory Controls and Procedures to protect inventory from internal and external theft. Benito has been utilized in cases involving Hispanic Defendants and Witnesses and has displayed an ability to set individuals at ease to conduct thorough interviews obtaining extensive details.
Cindy Klein
Cindy has extensive training in advanced profiling, domestic and international terrorism, sexual abuse of children, and interviewing and interrogation techniques.
Cindy’s diverse background enables her to evaluate a case, develop an investigative plan and then direct the plan to its optimum conclusion documented in very detailed reports.
Efrain was a Special Agent with the FBI in the Houston Office from June of 1987 to May of 2001. Efrain led investigations in drug, white collar and foreign counter intelligence cases, that resulted in the prosecution of numerous defendants and the seizure of millions of dollars for the U.S. government.
Efrain served as a squad investigative team leader, SWAT team member and was a certified undercover agent. Efrain also provided security during international events, such as the Atlanta Olympics, the Montana Freeman Standoff, The G8 Economic Conference and other major national events.
Efrain also supervised 20 language specialists and translators and helped develop new procedures that included timeliness and accuracy of translated material.
After his tenure with FBI, Efrain was a regional director in Mexico and Central America for a security company that specialized in business operations, evacuation plans, security assessments and personal protection for management and employees for Inc. 500 companies doing business in Mexico and Central America. More recently, Efrain has been a teacher in the Katy Independent School District for Spanish Instruction.
Efrain brings a very diversified qualification package, which will certainly assist us in continuing our quality efforts in criminal defense. Efrain’s corporate experiences will be invaluable in helping us with the growth and investigation of corporate clientele.
