The Case of the Missing Wife, Found Dead

Attorney Skip Cornelius represented a defendant who was charged with the choking death of a female who had been missing for a number of months. The victim’s bones had been found in a field near a gas station where the victim, her husband and the defendant, were known to have scored their Crack. The Defendant was the last person observed with the victim and hence he was charged.

Gradoni Detectives Investigate the Suspect

George Wellmaker interviewed a number of the victim’s family members and friends. No one could testify that the defendant was ever violent or aggressive toward the victim nor could they identify any motive for the defendant killing the victim. The jury could not decide if the defendant was guilty, but did not deliver an acquittal.

RESULT BASED ON INVESTIGATION: Hung Jury in Murder
