Rudy Olivo Field Investigator

Rudy Olivo was born and raised in Houston. He joined the Houston Police Department soon after graduating from the University of Houston where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree, having received specialized instruction in criminology, as well as abnormal and forensic psychology.

Rudy worked many varied assignments throughout his 24 year police career, including assigned to the patrol division and working out of the Central and Northwest Command Stations, as well as stints assigned to Special Operations and Dignitary Protection Division.

Rudy was also assigned to the Homicide/Major Assault Unit for 3 years.

During the last 15 years of Rudy’s Houston PD career, he served as a patrol sergeant, supervising both day and evening shifts.

Rudy has received specialized training in Advanced Criminal Investigations, Bomb Detection and Explosives, as well as U.S. Homeland Security and Anti-Terrorism Training. Rudy also received extensive training in Domestic  Violence, Human Trafficking, and Identity Theft.

Rudy holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.

Rudy has proved to be a valuable asset, having the ability to locate witnesses and obtain very detailed interviews.
