Texas Lawyer Blake Ferrell represented a defendant charged in Cherokee County with Injury to a Child. The State wanted at least 50 years in prison for the offense.

There were no witnesses to the offense. The defendant claims he tripped and fell on top of the baby causing the injury. The State claimed that the baby was shaken by the defendant causing the injury. The defendant was convicted on the weight of the Medical Examiner’s testimony.
